Коммутатор (switch) поступил в ремонт с заявленным дефектом «не работает, лампочки на передней панели мигают». После вскрытия корпуса коммутатора было установлено, что в качестве источника питания в нём используется модуль YCL NAD-32 DC OUTPUT +3.3V/3A +5V 1A (маркировка платы — PCB214), вырабатывающий напряжение питания +3.3V (точнее — +3.3V и +5V, но последнее — не используется основной платой устройства), выполненная на основе микросхемы ШИМ-контроллера UC3842AN. В ходе проверки, на этой плате выявлен неисправный (внешне «вздутия» у него нет, остаточная ёмкость около 600uF) электролитический конденсатор C3 1000uF-25V (тип — Gloria +85°C), стоящий непосредственно на выходе однополупериодного выпрямителя. После замены данного конденсатора, работоспособность коммутатора была восстановлена.

P.S. Данный коммутатор поступил в ремонт вторично, с тем же заявленным дефектом. На этот раз оказались неисправными следующие элементы: микросхема ШИМ-контроллера UC3842AN, полевой транзистор Q1 2SK2141 (маркировка  — K2141), электролитический конденсатор выпрямителя сетевого напряжения C6 33uF-400V (тип — J.J ® 105°C), резисторы R3 10 Ω/0.25W и R4 0.9 Ω/2W, сетевой предохранитель F1 T2AL250V. После замены всех данных элементов, работоспособность коммутатора была восстановлена.
