Warning

Installation Precautions

• Do not install by yourself.

Installation should always be performed by your dealer or a professional service provider. Electric shock or fi re may result if an inexperienced person performs any installation or wiring procedures incorrectly.

•Use only specifi ed air conditioners.

Precautions for Use

•Do not touch switches with wet hands. Electric shock and damage to the system can result.

•Protect the remote controller from water. Damage to the system can result.

•Stop the system and turn the power off if you sense unusual smells or other irregularities. Continuing operation when the system is out of order can result in electric shock, fi re, and damage to the system. Contact your dealer.

Moving and Repair Precautions

•Do not repair.

Never repair the system by yourself.

•Contact your dealer before moving the system. Contact your dealer or a professional service provider about moving and reinstalling the system.

Operation Section (Refer to page I)

1. (Start/Stop) button

Pushing this button starts, and pushing again stops the unit.

2.Operation lamp

The lamp is turned on when an air conditioner is in operation.

This lamp blinks when an error occurs or a protective device is activated.

3. (Mode select) button

Pushing this button selects an operation

mode. (AUTO /HEAT /DRY /COOL / FAN).

4.Temperature setting buttons

Changing the temperature setting.

5. (Fan speed) button

Changing the fan speed.

6. (Swing/Air direction) button*1

Use this button to set the auto swing or air direction to a specifi c angle.

7. (Unit select) button

When more than one indoor unit is operated by one remote control unit, this button is used to select a unit when adjusting the air direction.

8.Timer setting buttons

(Weekly Program Function)

9. (Filter reset) button

Use this button to reset the fi lter sign.

When is displayed, press this button after cleaning the fi lter.

10. (Ventilation) button

Use this button when you installed a fan available in the market. Pressing this button turns on and off the fan. When turning off the air conditioner, the fan will be also turned off.

( Sleeping Function)

13.Remote control sensor

Normally, the temperature sensor of the indoor unit is used to detect the temperature. However, it is also possible to detect the temperature around the remote control unit.

*1 Do not move the fl ap (vertical airfl ow adjustment board) with your hand.

•The fl ap is automatically directed down when the unit is stopped.

•The fl ap is directed up during the HEAT standby. The fl ap starts swinging after the HEAT standby is cancelled, although the AUTO fl ap indication on the remote control unit is displayed during the HEAT standby.

1. (Setting) indication

Appears when the timer program is being set.

2. (Unit) indication

Indicates the unit No. of the indoor unit which is selected with the Unit select button, or the unit in which an abnormality occurs.

3. (Timer No.) indication

Appears when the time program is being set.

4.Timer program indication

: The indoor unit starts operation at the programmed time.

: The indoor unit stops operation at the programmed time.

5. (Today’s day of the week) indication

Indicates today’s day of the week.

6. (Program schedule) indication

Appears under days that are scheduled for program operation.

7.Present time indication

Displays the present time on a 24-hour clock. Also, displays settings in the various setting modes.

8. (Timer off) indication

Displayed when the timer has been turned OFF.

9. (Error) indication

Displayed when a mistake is made during timer setting.

10. (Outing) indication ( Outing function)

Appears when the outing function is set.

11.Upper and lower limit indication of the

outing function

: Indicates the upper limit of the temperature

: Indicates the lower limit of the temperature

12.Operation Mode indication

Displays the selected operation mode.

(AUTO /HEAT /DRY /COOL / FAN ).

13.Temperature indication

Indicates the set temperature.

14.˚F / ˚C (Temperature unit) indication

15. (Remote control sensor) indication EN

Appears when the remote control sensor is used.

16. (Centralized control) indication

Appears when operated in centralized control. If the remote control operation is not permitted to the remote unit, when the Start/Stop button,

button is pressed,flashes and rejects the change.

Display Section (Refer to page II)

17. (Operation mode change control) indication

Displays when an operation mode is entered by the remote control unit, while another operation mode has been already selected. This indicates that the operation mode cannot be changed.

18. (Disabled feature) indication

Displayed if the selected feature was disabled during installation.

19. Peak cut mode (Demand)/GHP operation standby indication

Appears during the peak cut mode (Demand) if an electric heat pump (EHP) air conditioner is used or during standby if a gas heat pump (GHP) air conditioner is used.

20. (Heating standby mode) indication

Appears when the fan of the indoor unit is stopped or in low fan speed.

21. / / / (Fan mode select) indication

The selected fan mode is displayed.

22. (Swing) indication

Appears while the fl ap swings.

23. (Flap position) indication

Indicates the fl ap position.

24. (Filter) indication

Appears when fi lter needs cleaning. Clean the fi lter.

25. (Maintenance function) indication

Appears when the maintenance function (monitoring sensor temperatures) is activated.

26. (Ventilation) indication

Appears when a fan available in the market is installed and is operating.

27. (Oil) indication

Appears when the engine oil needs to be changed. (Appears when the gas heat pump air conditioner is used.)

28. (Sleeping) indication

Appears during the sleeping function.

29. (Caution) indication

Appears when the protective device is activated or when an abnormality occurs.

30.Unit No. indication

Indicates the unit No. of the selected indoor unit.

31. (Test) indication

Appears while in test operation.

Vertical scale indicates the TIMER No., and horizontal scale indicates the day.

*If the day is changed, the TIMER No. returns to “1”.

2.Set the “hour”. (program step 1)

Press / to set the “hour”.

Confi rm the “hour” and press . This enters the program changing mode (setting of the “minute”).

3.Set the “minute”. (program step 2)

Press / to set the “minute”.

Confi rm the “minute” and press .The unit enters (the program pattern selection mode).

1.Touche (Marche/Arrêt)

Appuyer sur cette touche pour mettre l’appareil en marche, appuyer à nouveau pour l’arrêter.

2.Témoin de fonctionnement

Le témoin est allumé pendant le fonctionnement du climatiseur.

Il clignote quand une erreur survient ou quand un dispositif de protection est activé.

3.Touche (sélection de mode)

Appuyer sur cette touche pour sélectionner le

Cette touche sert à régler le basculage automatique ou le sens de diffusion de l’air à un angle spécifi que.

7.Touche (sélection d’appareil)

Quand plus d’un appareil intérieur est opéré par une télécommande, cette touche sert à sélectionner un appareil lors de l’ajustement du sens de diffusion de l’air.

8.Touches de réglage du temporisateur

( Fonction de programmation hebdomadaire)

9.Touche (réinitialisation)

Cette touche sert à réinitialiser l’indication de

fi ltre. Quand est affi ché, appuyer sur cette touche après le nettoyage du fi ltre.

10. Touche (ventilation)

Utiliser cette touche à l’installation d’un ventilateur disponible dans le commerce. La pression de cette touche met le ventilateur sous et hors tension. A la mise hors tension du climatiseur, le ventilateur sera également mis hors tension.

*Si s’affi che à l’écran LCD de la télécommande à la pression de la touche de ventilation, aucun ventilateur n’est installé.

11.Touche (inspection)

Ne pas utiliser cette touche.

13.Détecteur de la télécommande

Normalement, le capteur de température de l’appareil intérieur sert à détecter la température. Mais il est aussi possible de détecter la température autour de la télécommande.

*1 Ne pas déplacer de la main le volet (plaque d’ajustement du fl ux d’air vertical).

•Le volet est automatiquement dirigé vers le bas quand l’appareil est arrêté.

•Le volet est dirigé vers le haut pendant l’attente HEAT. Le volet commence à osciller après l’annulation de l’attente HEAT, bien que l’indication de volet AUTO apparaisse sur la télécommande pendant l’attente HEAT.

Apparaît quand la fonction de maintien est sélectionnée.

15.Indication (détecteur de la télécommande)

Apparaît quand le détecteur de la télécommande est utilisé.

16.Indication (commande centralisée)

S’affi che pendant le fonctionnement en commande centralisée. Si le fonctionnement télécommandé est interdit à la télécommande, quand la touche Marche/Arrêt, la touche de

sélection de mode ou la touche de réglage de

temperature est pressée, clignote et rejette le changement.

17.Indication (commande de changement de mode de fonctionnement)

S’affi che quand un mode de fonctionnement est entré avec la télécommande, alors qu’un autre mode de fonctionnement est déjà sélectionné. Ceci indique que le mode de fonctionnement ne peut pas être modifi é.

18.Indication (fonction invalidée)

S’affi che si la fonction sélectionnée a été invalidée pendant l’installation.

19.Indication mode de coupure en période de pointe (Demande)/attente de fonctionnement GHP

S’affi che pendant le mode de coupure en période de pointe (Demande) quand un climatiseur à thermopompe électrique (EHP) est utilisé ou pendant l’attente quand un climatiseur à thermopompe au gaz (GHP) est utilisé.

20.Indication (mode d’attente de chauffage)

29.Indication ATTENTION (attention)

S’affi che quand le dispositif de protection est activé ou en cas d’anomalie.

31.Indication (TEST)

Apparaît pendant le fonctionnement à l’essai.

L’échelle verticale indique le n° temporisateur et l’échelle horizontale le jour.

Kontaktieren Sie Ihren Fachhändler oder eine professionelle Reparaturwerkstatt, wenn Sie das System umstellen oder neu installieren möchten. Eine nicht fachgerecht ausgeführte Installation kann einen Stromschlag oder Brand verursachen.

Bedienung (Siehe auch Seite I)

1.-Taste (Start/Stopp)

Drücken Sie diese Taste, um das Gerät zu starten und noch einmal, um es wieder zu stoppen.

2.Betriebsanzeige

Diese Lampe leuchtet auf, wenn das Klimagerät eingeschaltet ist.

Diese Lampe blinkt, wenn ein Fehler auftritt oder eine geschützte Funktion aktiviert ist.

3.-Taste (Betriebsart)

Durch Drücken dieser Taste wird eine

Betriebsart gewählt.(AUTO /HEAT (HEIZEN) /DRY (TROCKNEN) /COOL (KÜHLEN) /FAN (LÜFTER)).

4.Temperatureinstellung

Ändern der Temperatur.

5.-Taste (Lüftungsleistung)

Ändern der Lüftergeschwindigkeit.

6.-Taste (Einstellung Lamellen/ Luftstrom)*1

Mit dieser Taste können Sie die automatische Lamellenbewegung oder die Luftstromrichtung in den gewünschten Winkel ausrichten.

7.-Taste (Raumeinheitauswahl)

Sollten mehr als eine Raumeinheit mit einer Fernbedienung gesteuert werden, können Sie mit dieser Taste die Einheit auswählen, bei der Sie den Luftstrom einstellen möchten.

8.Zeitschaltuhreinstellung

( Funktion der Wochen-Programmierung)

9.-Taste (filter zurücksetzen)

Mit dieser Taste können Sie das Filter-Symbol

zurücksetzen.

Wenn angezeigt wird, drücken Sie diese Taste, nachdem Sie den Filter gereinigt haben.

Fernbedienung angezeigt werden, wenn Sie die Lüftungstaste drücken, sind keine Lüfter installiert.

11.-Taste (Wartung)

Drücken Sie diese Taste nicht.

12.-Taste (Schlaf)

( Schlaf-Funktion)

13.Fernbedienungssensor

Normalerweise misst der Temperatursensor der Raumeinheit die Temperatur. Sie können jedoch auch die Umgebungstemperatur an der Fernbedienung messen.

*1 Bewegen Sie die Lamellen (Leisten zur Einstellung des vertikalen Luftstroms) nicht mit der Hand.

•Die Lamellen werden automatisch abwärts gerichtet, wenn das Gerät ausgeschaltet wird.

•Während des HEAT (HEIZEN)- Bereitschaftsmodus werden die Lamellen aufwärts gerichtet. Wenn der HEAT (HEIZEN)-Bereitschaftmodus abgebrochen wird, schwenken die Lamellen auf und ab, auch wenn die AUTO-Anzeige auf der Fernbedienung erscheint.

: Die Raumeinheit schaltet sich zu der programmierten Zeit an.

5. Wochentageinstellung

Zeigt den heutigen Tag als Wochentag an.

6.Anzeige von programmierten Terminen

Erscheint unter den Tagen, für die ein Termin programmiert wurde.

7.Aktuelle Zeit

Zeigt die aktuelle Zeit nach dem 24-Stunden- Modus an. Zeigt ebenfalls die verschiedenen Einstellungen an.

8.-Anzeige (Zeitschaltuhr aus)

Wird angezeigt, wenn die Zeitschaltuhr auf AUS gestellt wurde.

9.-Anzeige (Fehler)

Wird angezeigt, wenn ein Fehler bei der Einstellung der Zeitschaltuhr gemacht wurde.

10.-Anzeige (Outing) ( Nicht-zu-Haus- Funktion)

Wird angezeigt, wenn die nicht-zu-Haus- Funktion eingestellt haben.

Temperatureinstellung gedrückt wird und eine Änderung ist nicht möglich.

17.-Anzeige (zur Kontrolle der BetriebsartÄnderung)

Wird angezeigt, wenn mit der Fernbedienung eine Betriebsart eingegeben wird, während bereits eine andere Betriebsart gewählt wurde. In diesem Fall kann die Betriebsart nicht geändert werden.

18.-Anzeige (der deaktivierten Funktionen)

Wird angezeigt, wenn eine Funktion gewählt wird, die während der Installation deaktiviert wurde.

19.-Anzeige Peak-Cut-Modus (Bedarf)/ Gasheizungs-Bereitschaftsmodus

Erscheint während des Peak-Cut-Modus (Bedarf), wenn ein ElektroheizungsKlimagerät (EHP) verwendet wird, oder im Bereitschaftsmodus, wenn ein GasheizungsKlimagerät (GHP) verwendet wird.

20.-Anzeige (des Heizungsbereitschaftsmodus)

Erscheint, wenn der Lüfter der Raumeinheit angehalten wird oder langsam läuft.

Die gewählte Betriebsart wird angezeigt.

Wird angezeigt, wenn der Filter gereinigt werden muss. Reinigen Sie den Filter.

25.-Anzeige (Wartungsfunktion)
