The OneOdio Studio Pro M are all-terrain headphones that can work via Bluetooth or cable. From my point of view, its most recommended use would be with the line for gaming on PCs or consoles and with Bluetooth for everything else. In terms of strengths, its sound quality is excellent for its price, and the Bluetooth connection has an excellent range and low latency. Little more can be asked for in headphones that cost about 45 USD.

The OneOdio Studio Pro M (Y80B) are versatile headphones since they can work via Bluetooth or an analogue connection with the 3.5 mm minijack connector. We can use the headphones to listen to music with the mobile phone or computer with Bluetooth or to use them for gaming with the microphone on the PC, mobile or console.

The headphones themselves are made of plastic, with which they achieve a weight of 251 grams (without the microphone). They are, for the most part, black, although they have some red details. The result is quite good because they are elegant headphones without being too bland, and visually they appear to cost more than their price.

The build quality is less than spectacular due to the materials, although the feel in hand is quite good for a budget headset. In addition, the headphones do not creak or make noise while we are wearing them or when we manipulate them.

In terms of sound, each cup has a 50mm dynamic driver with neodymium magnets that produce an excellent sound.

The bass is powerful but controlled. They have enough kick so that you feel the rhythm of the music hitting you in the head, but they do not monopolize all the prominence. Travel is a bit short, but for what these headphones cost, the bass is impressive.

The media are apparent; they have strength and presence. The voices are heard direct and natural, as are the main instruments. The separation of instruments is somewhat fair, but they can maintain their composure even with complex melodies.

The highs are a bit more limited, but they are warm and clean. If you compare them simultaneously with more expensive headphones, you may notice some differences, but they are perfect.

Overall, the OneOdio Studio Pro Ms have outstanding quality sound for their price. They can produce a balanced sound, with a bit of emphasis on the low frequencies, but clean and detailed. Something that is not usual in headphones of less than 120 USD.

In addition, they also have a lot of power. The volume rises a lot without spoiling the sound quality, which may be necessary since they do not block external noise and circumaural headphones.

The hands-free quality is quite decent and allows us to use the headphones to make calls and video calls in low-noise environments.

The headphones feature an internal 1,500 mAh battery that provides up to 80 hours of playtime. 

The battery can charge via a micro USB port located on the left cup. And, although it is not a problem due to its excellent battery life, we cannot use the Bluetooth headphones while we are charging them. By cable, we can use them without load.

The physical on/off button in the right cup, and the volume controls up and down. In addition, there we also have the analogue socket where the microphone and the cable are hooked. In the left cup, we have the micro USB port to charge the battery of the headphones.

The headphones have Bluetooth 5.0, and the connection is very stable and fast. However, that is a normal thing for all modern Bluetooth headphones. What has surprised me the most has been the spectacular reach. 

With these headphones, you can be in the kitchen listening to the PC signal without any cut. Something very unusual, most headphones start to cut off before arriving in the kitchen.

In addition, they have multipoint to be connected to a computer and a mobile phone at the same time. 

The lag or delay is so slightly due to Bluetooth that nothing has bothered me, not even playing shooting games on the PC (where lag tends to disturb the most), so they can be used without problems to play games, watch movies, etc.

Audio Quality

SBC and AAC are supported. In addition, comes Bluetooth 5.0 for use. With headphones in this price range, the absence of aptX isn’t that tragic, but it’s still a shame. OneOdio also advertises the 50 mm drivers. According to the statement, the neodymium magnets provide stereo hi-fi sound and, of course, super-rich bass. Well, let’s see if that’s true.

The buttons on the headphones do not work in wired mode and are only intended for Bluetooth control. The button on the cable functions as a pause/play button.

The functions are manageable but cover the entire audio control, including volume control. At least in wireless mode, you can operate the music player without using your smartphone. OneOdio still does without an app. There are no firmware updates or an alternative control system, but they are not necessary with the OneOdio Studio Pro C Wireless.

Comfort

The OneOdio model makes a considerable amount of heat around the ears. There is no ventilation mechanism or the like. The OneOdio Studio Pro C Wireless also provides an excellent seal without having to rely on ANC.

The inside radius is only 4.5 cm; the padding is 2.5 cm wide and 2 cm thick. There is only limited space for my ears; they don’t quite fit in, which means they are pressed against my head. This can lead to discomfort after a long period of wear.

There is another polyester layer directly above the driver, unfortunately without padding. There is also no water protection. OneOdio would have preferred not to have seen the Studio Pro C Wireless underwater.

If you want to use the headphones for a long time, you should know that the OneOdio Studio Pro C is not the lightest, even if the weight is well distributed over the headband. The over-ear headphones weigh 260 grams.

Battery

As before, the wireless on the right earbud goes two ways. If you connect the over-ears via the aux cable, the wireless part is deactivated. The headphones then draw their energy from the host device battery.

If you use the Bluetooth connection, an integrated battery is, of course, used. OneOdio specifies this with a full 1500 mAh. However, the headphones with their 260 grams are significantly lighter than the recently tested Bang & Olufsen Beoplay HX, which in turn had a smaller and lighter battery with 1200 mAh.

The battery life specified at 80 hours also speaks in favor of a large battery. If you take the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay HX again for comparison, it looks wildly exaggerated. Here are 40 hours (B&O without ANC) against 80 hours (OneOdio, no ANC available), with only 300 mAh more.

If the OneOdio runs on battery, it will last an excellent 50 hours as long as you are in the medium volume range, which is enough for many occasions. If you increase the volume, the hours drop somewhat, but they can certainly stay within an adequate range of around 40 hours. So the battery is probably bigger, but not 80 hours.

If the OneOdio Studio Pro C Wireless has to be charged, you should bring some time with you. Almost 3 hours for a full charge is a house brand.

Conclusion!

The OneOdio Studio Pro M (Y80B), what a name, are exciting off-road headphones. The sound quality is excellent for its price, and the Bluetooth connection has incredible range and very little lag. In addition, the build quality is quite good, and they come with a dedicated microphone in case we want to use them for PC or console gaming.

Its only weak point is its over-ear design. The first thing is that because of that; they do not block outside noise too much. And secondly, the headphones flatten ears. This depends on your head, ears and preferences. But in general, headphones with a circumaural design tend to be more comfortable.

In short, for about 45 USD that they usually cost, they are highly recommended headphones at a very competitive price. If you are looking for sound quality and a good Bluetooth connection and do not mind that the design is supra aural, the OneOdio Studio Pro M (Y80B) is an excellent option.

Intro

OneOdio is located in Hong Kong and sent both the Pro C and Pro 10 models for review. To start I picked the OneOdio Pro C (Y80B) being the more interesting wireless bluetooth model since Tesla believed in a world without wires.

While they do not sport ANC, wireless seems to be the more important feature everyday users want. Borrowing inspiration from the Audio Technica swivel DJ folding concept, they claim to be for all types of listeners. Quite lofty goals. The OneOdio Pro C wireless are relatively inexpensive amongst peers and enjoyable as well for mainstream modern music.

Disclaimer: OneOdio approached Audioreviews for reviewing the Pro C. I happily obliged due to the fact young ones are notorious for destroying headphones. They can be purchased in the usual places such as Aliexpress, Amazon, including their very own store page here. Pricing at the time of review is $45.

Physical Attributes

Build quality of OneOdio Pro C (Y80B) reminds me of a pair of Koss DJ headphones someone might receive as a service award of obedient loyalty. Lightweight plastic isn’t always a bad thing if the purpose is to keep it from becoming annoyingly heavy attached to your melon of matter.

The pads are medium/firm, but the outer material soft and pliable, I was expecting something harder and more plastic to be honest. They are not deep so the tops of my ears touch the inside of the clearly marked Left and Right inner mesh.

Inner diameter for a 50mm style over-ears headphone is also on the small side. Since I wear glasses, the pads are bit too hard to seal unless I remove my glasses. I actually prefer them with a little leakage of sound though as it balanced the lower end enough.

The headband sizing appears to be smaller than I am used to, larger heads beware. I had them extended 50% whereas normally 0-25% is my normal extension on other common models like the Marantz MPH2. The detent plate is made of metal and provides a solid click in position.

I noticed the headband is flatter than my more rounded Marantz MPH2, so it exerts some pressure in two spots on the tops of my head. Swivel and hinges make it more compact and DJ friendly.

It comes with a micro USB cord and 3.5mm 4 pole TRRS mic cable in case the 1500mAh battery dies. It boasts a whopping 80 hr play time meaning it could be weeks before recharging required for occasional usage.

Bluetooth connection is solid and provides expected range before cutting out. I was able to walk more than 30ft away and it continued to play with only minor stuttering. I did a quick video test as well with movie watching and did not detect any kind of lag.

The processor must be rather close to the magnet of the right driver because when nothing is playing you can hear a faint transmission chirping if you really listen closely. Less demanding listeners would probably not pick up on this though so I consider it a non-issue.

Controls

Buttons presses on the OneOdio Pro C are found on the right ear cup, with the up positioned higher for easy orientation, the middle mute/power/pairing button is slightly recessed so not to be confused with the other two, and the lower volume button placed at the lowest location.

Quick presses change the volume, while a long hold of up or down changes the track. The volume control is independent of the source volume.

Sound

The OneOdio Pro C provides ample bass output with good reach into lower registers that was engaging. The elevation is not basshead levels and it also avoids muddiness with only minor warmth into the midrange. With proper seal it is rather punchy, with a loss of seal from my glasses it balances out a bit and I find them more enjoyable.

From here the vocals on the OneOdio Pro C provide a clear and concise rendition of male and female vocals, with the male vocals sounding a little tubby and females sounded full bodied. Treble is well balanced with the rest of the range with no offending peaks, I consider it on the softer side providing enough backup support to avoid them sounding dull. All in all, they are a V shaped signature.

Resolution is on par of something in the $50-100 class of over-ear headphones. I find them particularly wide sounding with good instrument spacing. Depth spacing gives the impression of swimming in the 5-6ft section of pools as compared to the 3ft kiddie side and the deep end for those more advanced swimmers.

Material quality meets expectations for a $45 product, and sizing aside I particularly enjoyed using them around the house doing chores where a cabled headphone would typically snag on drawer pulls, door handles, etc.

Sonically they are close the Marantz MPH2 and similar ISK clones, but the OneOdio Pro C trade wireless bluetooth in exchange for a slightly improved bass control and midrange smoothness.

With end of the year celebrations coming up, these would make a great present for those looking for a gift that will not empty your wallet and introduce teenagers or even adults with smaller heads looking for a safe tuning for pop and rock music. As a bonus it appears you can register them and gain a 24 month warranty.

Gaming, audio mixing, editing, music listening…the Oneodio Studio Wireless C Y80B headphones do it all, including bluetooth and wired connectivity!

The Studio Wireless C Y80B headphones are equipped with a 1500mAh battery, which takes 3.5 hours to fully charge and has a battery life of 3 days at 65% volume. The battery can hold charge for up to 2 months in standby. When the battery runs out, you cannot use the Studio Wireless C Y80B headphones while charging but, you can use them in wired mode while charging. During charging the battery led shows red and turns blue when fully charged . There is a power saving mode too, which turns off the heaphones automatically when the headphones aren’t connected.

The Studio Wireless C Y80B headphones have a 4cm wide plastic headband frame that integrates a plastic ratchet-style slider reinforced with a metal band. The headband yokes have a dual metal hinge mechanism for folding the earcups and swiveling (90 degrees one-way only) the earcups around. The Studio C earcups can also tilt almost 360 degrees so, you can flip one earcup over (like a DJ) to monitor mixing level. While the earcups can be swiveled, you can’t properly lay the headphones flat because of the folding/swivel hinge mechanism, which creates an akward angle, preventing the earcups from resting completely flat against a surface. 

The Studio Wireless C Y80B headband has padding on both sides, which is covered with soft PU leather and sewn together with red stitching. The underside of the headband has a thick piece of foam padding. There is branding too on top of the headband with OneOdio engraving on the fabric.

The Studio Wireless C Y80B earcups have a proper round shape with circular markings on the front side reminiscent of the grooves on an LP vinyl record. The earpads are also rounded like a donut and feature memory foam with soft PU leather. The earpads heat up the ears a bit but they also provide good passive noise isolation.

There is no active noise cancellation (anc). If you need anc, check out the OneOdio A30 headphones. The Studio Wireless C Y80B earpads are detachable so, you can replace them too. The inner hole measures 4.5cm in diameter and the outer measures 9.5cm in diameter. Unless you have very small ears, the earpads aren’t likely to fit over-ear so, they will press against the ears.
