Самая известная проблема жёсткой воды — это образование накипи на нагревательных элементах бытовой техники и отопительного оборудования. Она ухудшает теплопередачу, снижая эффективность работы ТЭНов и повышая, тем самым, энергопотребление. Кроме того, известковые отложения портят внешний вид сантехники, а при принятии водных процедур остаются на коже и волосах, вызывая зуд и делая волосы более жёсткими. При стирке жёсткая вода снижает эффективность моющих средств, что увеличивает их расход. К тому же соли остаются в волокнах тканей, из-за чего вещи теряют первоначальную мягкость.
Принцип работы основан на ионном обмене. Внутри установки расположена ёмкость, заполненная ионообменной смолой, богатой ионами натрия. Когда вода поступает в ёмкость, ионы натрия вытесняют содержащиеся в солях жёсткости ионы магния и кальция, а те остаются связанными в ионообменной смоле. Прошедшая через станцию вода становится мягкой.
Станция подготовки Viessmann Aquahome поддерживают функцию регенерации смолы. Когда её ресурс подходит к концу, станция переключается в режим самоочистки — перестаёт умягчать воду и заливает ёмкость концентрированным раствором поваренной соли. Процедура восполняет запас ионов натрия в смоле и высвобождает накопленные ионы солей жёсткости, которые затем с остатками раствора стекают в дренаж. После цикла регенерации станция снова возвращается в режим умягчения воды. Для приготовления рассола в корпусе станции предусмотрен бак, куда достаточно время от времени засыпать таблетки поваренной соли. Уровень соли нужно проверять регулярно, а чтобы облегчить процесс контроля, в баках предусмотрели освещение. Блок управления Aquahome 20N и 30N поддерживает индикацию уровня соли в баке (в моделях 11-N и 17-N индикация отсутствует).

Viessmann Aquahome снабжен контроллером управления. Установки считают расход умягчённой воды и сами определяют, когда необходимо провести регенерацию смолы — исходя из введённых в память данных об уровне жёсткости воды. Поскольку в режиме регенерации станция не умягчает воду, в модели предусмотрена возможность программирования времени старта процесса самоочистки (например, установить запуск регенерации на ночь). При необходимости можно провести и принудительную регенерацию, причём в двух вариантах — сразу или отложить её на ближайшую ночь. Также реализована функция автоматической промывки при малом водопотреблении. Она предупреждает развитие микроорганизмов в смоле в ситуациях, когда жильцы длительное время отсутствуют и вода без постоянного расхода через станцию застаивается.
* Внимание! После прохождения через станцию водоподготовки воду не желательно применять в питьевых целях, так как из химического состава отфильтрованной воды удаляются соли, необходимые для нормального функционирования организма человека.

Salt efficiency (reduced salt

consumption) mode

When the salt efficiency (reduced salt

consumption) mode is ON, the

device will run the regeneration

process more often, consuming less

salt and water for the process. The

use of salt efficiency mode will

depend on the quality of water used

in the household.

Setting of this function can only

be implemented by the service

team of the supplier or

manufacturer.

Press again the «SET» button (but do

not hold it) – the display screen will

show CLEAN caption.

Cleaning

This must be activated (ON). If the

clean function is set ON, the normal

regeneration process is preceded by

a backwash cleaning and fast rinse,

enabling removal of sediments, such

as mechanical sediments from the

filtering mesh, which is located in the

main distributor. If the display screen

shows (OFF), then use the ▲ or ▼

button to change it to (ON).

Press again the «SET» button (but do

not hold it) – the display screen will

show CLEAN TIME caption.

Duration of cleaning

The display screen will show a

flashing number, such as 6, which

indicates that duration of additional

backwash cleaning and fast rinse will

be 6 minutes. It is recommended to

set the cleaning time to one minute

as a standard. In the case when the

input water contains increased

amounts of impurities such as sand,

sludge, slurry, etc., the duration of

cleaning may be extended to a

maximum of 15 minutes. In order to

change the value on the display

screen, press the ▲ button to reduce

cleaning

duration time or

the ▼ button to

reduce it.

Press again the

«SET» button

(but do not hold

it) – the display

screen will show RECHARGE DAY

caption.

Maximum period between

regenerations in days during water

uptake idle period

Automatic regeneration during water

uptake idle period helps maintaining

microbiological cleanliness of the

medium (during water uptake idle

period the medium may become a

habitat for microorganisms and

bacteria). With factory settings the

(AUTO) function will be inactive

which means that the device will not

regenerate during the water uptake

idle period. Press the ▲ or ▼ button

until the desired number appears on

the display screen. Available range of

settings is between 1 and 15 days

(DAY).

Press again the «SET» button (but do

not hold it) – the display screen will

show alternately flashing

RECHARGE as well as 97 and OFF

captions.

Automatic activation of

regeneration process when the ion

exchange capacity of the resin has

been used in 97%

With factory settings (97 and OFF)

this function is not active. When

activated by pressing the ▲ or ▼

buttons (the display screen will show

alternately flashing 97 and OFF

captions) the device will activate

regeneration process each time

when the ion exchange capacity of

the resin has been used in 97%,

regardless of the time of day.
