This Quick Setup Guide provides step-by-step instructions

on how to set up your Ruckus Wireless ZoneFlex Access

Point. After completing the steps described in this Guide,

you will be able to place the Access Point (AP) at your site

and provide wireless network access to users.

The ZoneFlex R300 requires a minimum of Zone-

EQUIREMENTS

A computer running Windows 7 (procedures for other OS’s

are similar)

One or more of the following:

A modem (DSL or cable), broadband router, or other

device provided by your Internet Service Provider

that brings Internet access to your site.

A network switch or a DSL/Internet gateway device.

Two Cat 5e Ethernet cables

An AC power adapter (sold separately), or

An 802.3af or 802.3at -compliant Power over Ethernet (PoE)

switch or PoE injector

IMPORTANT!

If the AP is deployed with a ZoneDirector, follow the

ZoneDirector Quick Setup Guide, and connect the AP to your

local network.

On your Windows 7 computer, configure your network

adapter from the Local Area Connection settings as follows:

Start > Control Panel > Network and Sharing

Center > Change Adapter Settings

Edit the TCP/IPv4 address settings as follows:

Local Area Connection > Properties > Internet

Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) > Properties

The TCP/IPv4 Properties dialog box appears.

Use the following IP address

The ZoneFlex R300 can be mounted to a wall, ceiling or to a

T-bar using the supplied mounting screws or the T-bar clips

built into the bottom of the AP enclosure.

Mounting to a Flat Surface

Use this Quick Start Guide template to mark the locations

for screw holes on the mounting surface. Use a 5mm drill bit

to drill approximately 25mm into the mounting surface.

Insert the anchors and mounting screws into the mounting

To unmount, insert the unit removal pin into the hole on the

side of the AP to unlock, then push the AP (to the right or up,

depending on orientation) to release the AP enclosure from

the mounting screws.

For added physical security, use a Torx screwdriver to insert

the security screw into the hole shown in Figure 3.

depress the latch while rotating the AP so that the T-bar clips

disengage the T-bar.

For information on how to configure the AP from the Web

interface, refer to the Ruckus Wireless ZoneFlex Access Point

User Guide or the Online Help, available from within the

Web interface.

  1. Подключить точку доступа к электропитанию. Подключить патч-корд к компьютеру и к точке доступа.


  2. На компьютере в сетевых настройках установить IP-адрес проводного интерфейса (Подключение по локальной сети/Ethernet) 192.168.0.10 и маску подсети 255.255.255.0


  3. В веб-браузере ввести 192.168.0.1 и выполнить вход на точку доступа с именем пользователя super и паролем sp-admin.


  4. В левом столбце выбрать подпункт Internet в пункте Configuration. Ввести параметры подключения к Интернету, полученные от провайдера. Нажать на кнопку Update Settings. Доступны варианты статического и динамического IP-адреса, PPPoE и L2TP.

    Настройка точки доступа Ruckus

    Если при дальнейшем подключении кабеля провайдера Интернет не появился – возможно у провайдера сохранен физический адрес сетевого интерфейса (MAC) предыдущего роутера. Необходимо выяснить это в технической поддержке провайдера.


  5. В левом столбце выбрать подпункт Local Subnets в пункте Configuration. В первой вкладке Local Subnet 1 установить следующие параметры:

    • SubnetEnable
    • DHCP ServerEnable
    • Starting Address – такой же как и Local IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.2
    • Maximum DHCP Users – количество устройств в сети. 100, например.
    • Access VLAN – 1

  6. В левом столбце выбрать подпункт Radio 2.4G в пункте Configuration. Во второй вкладке настроить следующие параметры:

    • Wireless AvailabilityEnabled
    • Broadcast SSIDEnabled
    • SSID – ввести название беспроводной сети в диапазоне 2.4 ГГц
    • Packet Forward Local Subnet NAT and Route to WAN
    • Local SubnetLocal Subnet 1
    • Insert DHCP option 82? – Enabled
    • Client Fingerprinting – Enabled
    • Encryption Method – WPA
    • WPA Version – WPA2
    • WPA Authentication – PSK
    • WPA Algorithm – AES
    • Passphrase – ввести ключ шифрования беспроводной сети

  7. В левом столбце выбрать подпункт Radio 5G в пункте Configuration. Повторить предыдущие настройки для беспроводной сети в диапазоне 5 ГГц.

    !!! ВНИМАНИЕ !!! Разместить точку доступа перед собой как показано на изображении. Определить в какой из портов необходимо будет подключить провод провайдера. В данном примере это PORT2. Для него настроить:

    • EnableAccess Port
    • Packet ForwardBridge to WAN
    • 802.1XDisabled
    • Insert DHCP option 82 – Enabled
    • Client Fingerprinting – Enabled

    Чтобы использовать остальные порты точки доступа для объединения домашних устройств в локальную сеть с выходом в Интернет, необходимо выполнить настройку:

    • Enable Access Port
    • Packet ForwardLocal Subnet NAT and Route to WAN
    • 802.1XDisabled
    • Insert DHCP option 82 – Enabled
    • Client Fingerprinting – Enabled

STEP 1: CONNECT THE AP TO YOUR COMPUTER

STEP 2: PREPARE YOUR COMPUTER FOR AP
